Dynamic structure
GRADAS took part in a creative experiment initiated by the ATRIUM architectural bureau. The result was the presentation of a jointly developed installation at the exhibition ArchMoscow 2020.
Architecture is the art of working with form and space. At the same time, it is a game of interpretation and the space of experiment. It is a logical abstraction, implicit for the observer, implemented in the form of a physical object.
One of the tools for working with the form is the material: it helps to identify it and to manifest, to endow with additional properties. In our architecture, it acts primarily as an additional information layer that supports the level of emotional, tactile and associative perception of the form.
Materiality is a source of inspiration and a way to explore structures that we transform into unique spacial patterns. The texture of the material can become the primary element of the future architectonics of forms and the system solution of the project.
So, this spatial pattern creates a system that can used from facade elements and up to an urban plan. In its physical embodiment, it has the possibilities of being assembled, cut and processed in form of metal sheets, where all panels can vary in size, contour, angle of rotation and the nature of aesthetic processing. The result is a living, dynamic surface, a fragment of an endless picture going from the origins of natural forms to the structure of buildings and landscapes. The study of new meanings, associations and sensations.
